MANEVUM Service Policies

Los documentos legales son oficiales en inglés; el contenido en francés y español en el resto del sitio se ofrece para su comodidad.

1. Cash Policy — We Never Handle Cash

MANEVUM / Eviction Property Rescue LLC does not handle, pack, transport, or store cash under any circumstances. If cash is discovered during a rescue, it is counted on camera by two crew members, photographed, sealed in an evidence bag, and handed directly to the client or the client's verified on-site trusted contact — and logged in the chain-of-custody record. Cash not declared on the High-Value Declaration Form is not covered under any claim. This policy has no exceptions.

2. Jewelry & Precious Metals

Jewelry, watches, and precious metals must be declared in writing before service on the High-Value Declaration Form. Declared items are photographed on camera, sealed individually in evidence bags, logged item-by-item, and stored in a separate locked safe — never loose in boxes and never in general storage. Undeclared jewelry is handled with the same physical care if found, but is not covered by any claim. We recommend clients or their trusted contacts keep irreplaceable jewelry on their person whenever possible.

3. High-Value & Expensive Items

Electronics, designer goods, artwork, collectibles, and any item the client values above $500 must be declared with a description and estimated value before service. Items declared above $2,000 may require a photo or receipt at declaration. Liability for any single undeclared item is limited to $100, and total liability for undeclared property is limited to the amount stated in the Service Agreement. Declared items are covered up to their declared value, subject to our bailee insurance terms. Existing damage is recorded on video at pickup and noted on the inventory — coverage applies to our custody period only.

4. Identity & Legal Documents

Passports, IDs, immigration papers, birth certificates, deeds, and similar documents are placed in sealed, numbered security envelopes on camera and stored in a locked document safe, separately from general storage. They are retrievable independently of the rest of the property, are released only against signature to the client or a verified authorized representative, and are never sold, auctioned, discarded, or included in any abandonment disposition — if unclaimed, they are transferred to the issuing authority.

5. Illicit Products & Drugs — We Never Handle Them

MANEVUM does not handle, pack, transport, or store illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, counterfeit goods, stolen property, or any other illicit material — under any circumstances. MANEVUM is a private service operating under the tenant's own authorization; we are not an arm of law enforcement and our crews do not act as one.

If suspected illicit material is discovered during a rescue, the crew does not touch it. The on-site trusted contact (or the client, if reachable) is asked to take charge of it directly; otherwise it stays exactly where it is, in place in the unit, excluded from the rescue. Either way, the moment is captured on the rescue video as proof — showing that the crew never touched the material and that it was handed to the contact or left behind — and the case log records "items excluded under Policy §5." The rescue then continues for the rest of the property. What remains behind in the unit is a matter between the tenant and the landlord.

Safety exception. If the crew encounters conditions hazardous to be near — chemical or manufacturing hazards, strong fumes, unsafe environments — the crew withdraws from the affected area and the Compliance Officer decides how the case proceeds. We never expose employees to dangerous environments.

Hidden in our custody. Knowingly placing illicit material into MANEVUM custody — hidden inside boxes, furniture, or containers that we pack, transport, or store — is a material breach of the Service Agreement: the agreement terminates immediately and prepaid fees for the affected service are forfeited. MANEVUM responds to lawful legal process (subpoenas, warrants) as required by law. Prescription medications are the exception: they are logged, bagged with labels visible, and delivered promptly to the client under our medication protocol.

6. Firearms, Ammunition & Hazardous Materials

Crews never touch firearms or ammunition, and MANEVUM never transports or stores them. On discovery, the on-site trusted contact or the client is asked to take charge of them; if no one can, they are left secured in place and noted as excluded from the rescue (lawful possession and transfer of firearms is the owner's responsibility under applicable law). Hazardous materials — chemicals, fuel, propane, fireworks, and similar — are excluded from packing, transport, and storage, and are documented and left in place or referred for proper disposal. Perishable food is photographed and disposed of; unopened non-perishables may be donated with consent.

7. False or Inflated Claims

Every rescue is protected by a locked, time-stamped walkthrough video, an item-by-item photographed inventory, numbered tamper seals, and a signed chain-of-custody record. Claims of missing or damaged property are reviewed against this evidence set and answered in writing within 48 hours. A claim for an item that was not declared, does not appear in the video, and is not on the inventory will be declined with the evidence attached.

Submitting a claim known to be false — including claims for cash or valuables that the evidence record shows were never present — results in denial of the claim, immediate termination of service, forfeiture of storage in progress subject to state law, liability for MANEVUM's documented investigation costs, and referral to law enforcement where fraud is indicated. Honest mistakes are not penalized: a client who withdraws a claim after seeing the evidence owes nothing.

8. Pricing, Price-Protection Reserve & Cost Changes

How the deposit is built. The rescue deposit is calculated from the declared home size and material occupancy level (light / medium / heavy) per our published table — the moving/rescue fee plus prepaid storage — plus a price-protection reserve (a fixed percentage of that amount). The reserve is held in the client's name and exists for one reason: a rescue happens later, often when the client is unreachable (detention, hospitalization, deportation) and cannot approve any additional charge. The reserve absorbs partner rate increases and small overages so the rescue can proceed without delay. If it is never used, the reserve is refunded with the deposit.

If actual conditions differ. At activation the crew documents the true size and load on the walkthrough video. If conditions are lower than declared, the difference is credited back. If conditions exceed the declared tier, the rescue still proceeds — we never abandon a client mid-crisis — and the correct published tier applies. The client authorizes MANEVUM, at enrollment, to charge the payment method on file for documented cost adjustments at activation.

Who pays an overage when the client is unreachable. Costs are covered in this order: (1) the price-protection reserve; (2) if exceeded, the payment method on file; (3) if the card cannot be charged and the client cannot be reached, the rescue is still performed and the documented excess becomes a secured obligation recoverable from the stored property under the storage-lien process of Section 9 (or settled with the client, estate, or authorized representative on retrieval). The client's belongings are never left behind for a cost dispute.

Storage over time. After the prepaid months, storage renews at the facility's then-current rate. Ongoing storage for an unreachable client runs the non-payment and abandonment clock of Section 9, with the stored property itself securing the accruing cost. Deliberate, repeated misdeclaration is grounds for non-renewal of the plan.

9. Locks & Access

MANEVUM performs no lock changes and never alters a unit. Entry occurs only under the tenant's signed enrollment authorization, with access provided by a designated key-holding trusted contact or a recorded access arrangement. Units are closed using existing locks exactly as found. Client keys recovered during a rescue are tagged, sealed, logged, and released only to the client or an authorized representative.

10. Domestic Violence Confidentiality

DV relocation cases run under a separate protected protocol: storage locations and new addresses are sealed in the case file and never disclosed to any third party, including family members. Trusted-contact activation and wellness-check disclosures are never used for DV cases.

11. Cancellation & Refunds

Who and how. Only the Subscriber may cancel — never a trusted contact, family member, or landlord. Requests are made in writing (email, portal, or app) and take effect only after our coordinator confirms by callback to the phone number registered on the account. An unconfirmed request expires after 14 days.

What you get back. Within the first 14 days of enrollment (cooling-off), everything is refunded, including the enrollment fee. After that: if no rescue has ever been performed, your entire deposit (moving fee + prepaid storage) is refunded in full and your membership simply stops at the end of the month. If a rescue was performed, the moving fee has been used, and any unused prepaid storage months are refunded once your belongings are retrieved. If your belongings are still in storage when you cancel, storage continues month-to-month until retrieval, and the unused balance refunds then. If the Subscriber dies, the deposit is refunded to the verified estate or next of kin. Refunds go to the original payment method within 14 business days, with a written final statement.

What happens on cancellation. Your address is removed from the county registration list, wellness check-ins stop, and each of your trusted contacts receives a short closure notice — "your designation has ended" — with no reason given. We send this so no one calls our hotline in a real crisis believing protection exists when it does not.

Mid-emergency rule. If a rescue crew has already been dispatched when a cancellation arrives, the rescue is completed first — we never abandon belongings mid-emergency — documented costs are deducted, and the remainder refunds. Cancellation applies after the emergency, never during it.

Domestic-violence accounts. Cancellation of a DV-flagged account requires the registered-number callback plus a second verification through the advocate or shelter contact on file, and takes effect only after a 7-day delay during which the Subscriber may silently void it. This protects against coerced or impersonated cancellations.

Coming back. Reinstatement within 90 days of cancellation requires no new enrollment fee — your file, contacts, and authorization are reactivated after re-verification. After 90 days, enrollment starts fresh. A lapsed membership (non-payment) is not a cancellation: monitoring suspends after 60 days, your deposit is never forfeited, and reinstating the membership restores everything.
